FOGSCREEN DISPLAY PROTOTYPE SKETCHES (2014)

"MAGIC MIRROR" INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION STAGE SETUP FOR WOMB NIGHT CLUB (2012)

These are early concept sketches made for the interactive installation proposal for Womb Nightclub in Tokyo. The main technical aspect is to configure hardware placements such as the Kinect sensors facing both the DJ and the audience and display it on the wall projection. The project is also part of research concerning the design space analysis of interactive installation in public. For concept and actual implementation, please visit the 'Augmented Reality' section.

The concept sketches above are for buidling D-I-Y see-through display, based on the "Laminar flow" phenomenon. The fog screen is formed by the fog-fluid using ultrasonic atomizers, pouring through a small slit. The outpouring mist is then pushed upwards in between two parallel airflows, thus creating the Laminar flow effect. This DIY project is part of my ongoing experimentation with see-through display technique that employs augmented reality capabilities.

'JERITA DAYANG LAING' SHORT FILM STORY BOARD (2007)

AUGMENTED REALITY VISUAL MAINTENANCE GUIDE APP ON SMARTPHONE (2012)

These are concept sketches created for a client; a prototype augmented reality application on mobile phone. The mobile app function is to display visual guide that provides a how-to maintenance guide on smartphone. The second image shows a concept where a maintenance worker can easily retrieve information on train wheel repariment.

The story board is for my bachelor's degree final year project, a short film called 'Jerita Dayang Laing' back in 2007. The story is based on Iban myth telling a story of a golden goddess who lived in isolation in a mystical land before fate brought her to meet the God of Wind. They unwittingly started a forbidden relationship that would ultimately cost them despair. The short film was shot entirely in green screen therefore in this project, storyboard is an important tool to visualize the geography of the images.
